Basically, you did everything right. You parked your motorbike in a safe place and secured it with a proper brake disc lock, but now you’re saddled with a large bill for spare parts and repairs. And all because you were in a hurry, and forgot to remove the lock! You should have fitted a reminder cord from Hartmann.
Simply connect the cord between handlebar and lock, and the luminous coloured cable will remind you not to set off with the lock still fitted. While you’re riding your bike, the spiral cable stows away in your tank bag or under your seat. So you always have it with you – a really handy solution!
